“LawTech Connect” on Litera.TV, airs live on Mondays from 10.30-11am – but you can always watch it later (right here or on YouTube). In this episode I talk to former in-house counsel, Geoffrey Probst, about leaving his corporate gig with Norwegian Cruise Lines to start his solo practice. We talk about his decision, his process and the unexpected speedbumps of trying to establish a new practice during the Covid era. Hope you enjoy the conversation!
I started my career as a prosecutor in the Florida Keys. Several years later I moved to Miami and joined a firm that represented the major cruise lines. While I was working there, Norwegian Cruise Line recruited me to start its in-house litigation department. I ran that department for 10 years, and then I went out on my own and switched to the plaintiff’s side. I’ve now had my own firm for a little over a year.– Geoff Probst
